A little more about us...

We pride ourselves on the quality of our beer, our home made food and the traditional atmosphere and friendly service provided by the staff.

The Union Inn has had an entry in the Good Beer Guide since 2007.  Entry in this top guide to pubs is subject to a vote of CAMRA members.

We have also been rated as “Very Good” with a top score of 5 for our food hygiene by Teignbridge District Council Environmental Health Department.

Suppliers

We use local suppliers, where possible, for the fresh ingredients in our meals.  Quality meat is supplied by Complete Meats of Exeter and, who source meat from Devon wherever possible, and fruit and vegetables by Darts of Exeter.  Locally grown potatoes are used when available.  Free range eggs are supplied by Williams Eggs of Chagford.

The Menu

If you have any questions or comments about our food and drink please talk to our staff who will be pleased to assist you.  In particular if you have dietary requirements we will be happy to tell you what ingredients have been used in our food.

If you wish to substitute any item on the menu please let us know.  For example we have a choice of four different types of potato – chips, mashed, boiled or jacket which can be supplied with a meal

Children

We welcome children at the Union Inn.  We do not have a separate children’s menu however we can provide a smaller portion of many of the dishes on the menu.  Please ask staff for assistance.

Stable Room

The old stable block of the Union Inn has been converted into an air conditioned dining area and function room.

The room is available for private functions, meetings and seminars and has an in house sound system and digital projector which can be used for presentations.  We have a range of set meals and buffets to cater for the needs of people and organisations booking the room
